El Periplo (2015) es un proyecto de vídeo y fotografía en torno al paisaje, el tiempo y la contemplación.
Partiendo del registro videográfico de transeúntes desconocidos en la playa de la Barceloneta (Barcelona), la grabación original es manipulada digitalmente, de manera que sitúa, en el mismo plano y al mismo tiempo, diferentes individuos que, en algún momento, dirigieron su mirada al horizonte.
Así, a través de la figura del turista se plantea la revisión de determinados caracteres vestigiales del romanticismo asociados a dicha figura. Mediante un bucle imperceptible, la relación entre el individuo y lo que le rodea queda suspendida en una narración sin principio ni final.
El Periplo «The Periplus» (2015) is a project of video and photography about landscape, time and contemplation.
Based on the videographic register of unknown passers-by on the Barceloneta beach (Barcelona), the original recording is digitally handled in a way that it places in the same shot and at the same time different individuals who, in any moment, looked at the horizon.
Thus, through the figure of the tourist, it is considered the revision of certain vestigial roles of the Romanticism associated to this figure. By an imperceptible loop, the relationship between the individual and what surrounds it remains suspended in a narration with no beginning or ending.

The Viewers es una instalación compuesta por un políptico de 60 fotografías que retratan individuos en actitud contemplativa.
El proyecto, que parte del concepto de lo sublime romántico, hace referencia al paisaje mediante su negación, centrando la atención en el individuo, que interpela al espectador por medio del juego de miradas; mirar al que mira.
Es a través de la puesta en común de imágenes de turistas desconocidos, capturados en el instante en que dirigen momentáneamente la mirada al horizonte, como se genera un discurso del ejercicio de la contemplación, subvirtiendo la acción individual y tornándola colectiva, global.
The Viewers is an installation composed by a 60 photos polyptych that registers some individuals in a contemplative attitude.
The project that starts from the concept of romantic sublime refers to the view through its denial, focusing the attention on the individual, who questions the viewer by a play of glances; to look at who is looking.
It is through the sharing of pictures of unknown tourists, captured in the instant when they look towards the horizon in a moment, that a discourse of the contemplative exercise is generated, overthrowing the individual action and taking it as collective, global.
